Extremely tight access to main roof space through a brick with steel lintel void.
Once inside I have found a full mains water tank along with an old central heating header tank. There is a serious risk of a future water leak as the mains water tank is full with a live water feed heading off into a completely inaccessible part of the property.
These tanks are redundant as the boiler is a combination type with no need for any water feed apart from a direct mains water feed in. Also visible in roof space are two 15mm copper pipes which run the length of the kitchen and living room, both pipes do not have any lagging on them to prevent freezing.
RED LIGHT
Recommendation – Remove both mains water tank and header tank. Remove all copper cold water supply to both tanks.
